World Record for Climbing El Capitan in Yosemite

Jul 7, 2008 by

What a cool story–a race to the top of El Capitan in Yosemite.  Two hours and 43 minutes and 33 seconds.  If you don't know what mountain I'm mentioning, look here, it's the one on the left.  I don't  know how high up it goes, but you can see, it's almost straight up.  And from the valley floor, it's amazing to watch these guys go at it.  They get to be like tiny little specks of movement, with a thread hanging down off the mountain.

Congrats, Hans and Yuji.   You are an inspiration to hear about.
